“How long will it take for me to feel better?”

As a clinical therapist, I listen that question frequently. It’s a reasonable question. I surely comprehend that when somebody is deeply hurting and engaged in a struggle in their life, they want to feel better as speedily as possible.

However, the clinical treatment for an individual with DID / MPD is long term. Some exploration has said that the treatment may be finished within two or three years, but in my clinical experience, that is far from the truth.

Dissociative Identity Disorder is a result of long-term, chronic, severe, sadistic child abuse. As children, these survivors witnessed and experienced a myriad of heinous crimes. They distinctively describe repeated consuming abuse by multiple perpetrators, and then were other than as supposed or expected in an emotional manner neglected, starving for comfort, consolation, or attention. They were left alone, even while very young, to routine and integrate their pain by themselves. For these children, the splitting routine became their way of coping with aroused intensity, conflicts, huge distress, and intense pain that were other than as supposed or expected far too difficult to manage on their own. They blocked off their pain, locked it away from themselves, and left it there. Sitting, waiting, piling up for years.

When you understand how much pain and abuse has occurred in order to fabricate the dissociative splits in the introductory place, it is no wonder that the healing procedure is also so very long. All areas of dissociative survivors’ lives are touched and profoundly changed or affected by the abuse. It merely takes a very long time to address everything properly.

Some of the treatment issues are:

Stabilization of the person– both internally and externally

Managing and eliminating self-injury and self-harm issues

  Treating sleep disorders

Treating medical complicatednesses and physical hurt resulting from the abuse

Reaching integration, blended states, or effective system team work

That’s a tremendous amount of work. And most of these issues surface again and again and again, calling for in-depth attention on a regular basis for years of time. Emotional healing on such a wide scale just does not occur fast. Forcing the issues or pretending to be “done” sooner than realistically possible is not helpful.

Simply put, years of severe injuries will require years of intense healing.

It takes as long as it takes.

If you steadily feel flat, un-enthusiastic or “down in the dumps”, you may be suffering with depression. A lot of persons may feel downhearted from time to time, but if these sensations & mood proceed for longer than 2 weeks and are accompanied by other sensations or changes that interfere with each day life, the diagnosis may be given as clinical depression.

Clinical depression is a state of intense sadness, melancholia or desperation that has progressed to the point of being disruptive to the people each day life. Many people tell apart the sentiment of being downhearted as “feeling sad for no reason”, or “having no motivation to do anything.” Those suffering from depression may feel tired, irritable, sad, unmotivated, lazy and apathetic. Clinical depression is in general acknowledged to be more severe than normal lowspirited feelings.

It is approximated that at least 150,000 persons in New Zealand suffer from depression each year and that over a lifetime as numerous as 20% of New Zealanders will be affected by depression.. There is proof that the incidence of depression is increasing and that younger generations (those born after 1945) are at a higher risk. The incidence of depression is in regards to twice as high in women as in men, altho the reasons for this are not clear.

Many natural health practitioners find that a heap of people are too readily given the diagnosis of depression and then prescribed anti depressants, ofttimes without looking at what else could be going on in their body to bestow to these symptoms. The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine states “A deficiency of any single nutrient may modify brain function and lead to depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders.” The most mutual nutritional deficiencies which may bestow to depression include a lack of most of the B Vitamins, Iron, Vitamin C, Protein and the amino acids tryptophan & SAMe, the solid homogeneous inorgani substance Magnesium and the necessary fatty acid omega 3. Interestingly, too higher levels of omega 6 (as found in mutual seed oils) may likewise bestow to sensations or changes of depression.

Many people consume a low fat diet, depriving them of the necessary fatty acid Omega 3. Our body can not make these fatty acids, so they ought to be supplied in the diet from foods rich in this or by taking a supplement. Omega 3 is normally found in sure seeds such as flax, black currant and borage oils, as well as egg yolks, tuna, salmon and cod. Population studies in dissimilar countries have shown that decreased consumption of omega 3 correlates with increased rates of depression.

A substantial ingredient in fish oil is eicosapentaenoic acid or EPA. A study in the October 2002 issue of Archives of General Psychiatry found that depression was scaled down significantly when volunteers took fish oil supplements containing 1000mg of EPA a day for 12 weeks. You may determine how much EPA is in each fish oil capsule by reading the label on the bottle. Some have much higher amounts of EPA in them than frequent fish oil supplements.

An interesting study was done by the Department of Psychiatry, Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, to see to it whether people with mood disorders are in particular vulnerable to averse effects of aspartame, the artificial sweetener used in some diet and sugar free productions these days. Although the protocol required the recruitment of 40 persons who requires medical care with clinical depression and a similar number of humans without a psychiatric history, the project was stopped by the Institutional Review Board after a total of 13 people had finished the study because of the severity of reactions within the group of people who are in need of medical care with a history of depression. In a crossover design, subjects received aspartame 30 mg/kg/day or placebo for 7 days. There was a significant divergence amid aspartame and placebo in number and severity of sensations or changes for people who are in need of medical care with a history of depression, whereas for humans without such a history there was not. The researchers conclude that humans with mood disorders are in particular sensible to this artificial sweetener and it is use in this population will have to be discouraged. Aspartame is marketed as NutraSweet & Equal and is found in most “Sugar free” products.

It is not mutual for men to have low iron, unless they have a problem with internal ulcers, bleeding hemorrhoids or with those who have coeliacs disease. Apart from these bleeding problems, another contributor to low iron is consuming tannin and caffeine rich foods and beverages at meals. If tea, coffee, some herb teas, red wine, cocoa or chocolate rich foods and beverages are consumed for up to 1 hour after having a meal or taking nutritional supplements, the absorption of the nutrients will be affected.

The B complex vitamins are water soluble, which means you need a every day supply of these as they are not effortlessly stored in the body. All multivitamins integrate B vitamins, or if an extra boost is needed, a B Complex could be considered. The Nutrition Almanac states that if a person is tired, irritable, nervous, downhearted or even suicidal, suspect a vitamin B deficiency. Those who consume a lot of alcohol, eat a refined high carbohydrate diet or who are regularly stressed have a need for higher amounts of B vitamins than others.

Serotonin deficiencies are mutual these days and are a major contributor to depression. Serotonin is a word often related with the use of substances like E, P & BZP, as taking these depletes this critical brain chemical. Prolonged stress, as well as a high protein, very low carbohydrate diet will likewise bestow to low brain levels. In the winter months galore humans suffer with seasonal affective disorder (SAD), also called the winter blues, which is linked to light deprivation. Studies show that the seasonal variations in natural light modify levels of the hormone melatonin, which subsequently causes scaled down levels of serotonin. Working in enclosed spaces without natural light may cause the same kind of problem, with all of these creating a wide range of serotonin deficiency symptoms.

The most mutual sensations or changes relating to low serotonin are depression, carbohydrate craving & binging, sleeping difficulties & insomnia, compulsive obsessive disorders, anxiety & appetite changes to name a few.

When Serotonin levels drop you may get started to experience troubles with concentration & routine responsibilities may begin to become rather over whelming. As depression sinks in, it may seem hard to get enthusiastic when it comes to anything. Emotional sadness, low self selfconfidence & social withdrawal are common. Taking the nutritional supplement 5 HTP provides the building blocks to create serotonin. This cannot, however, be taken in conjunction with anti depressant medication.

Your GP will not commend 5-HTP to you. This is because drug companies have no interest in providing this compound to the public, as 5-HTP can not be patented. This is a real shame, as researchers have clinically investigated 5-HTP in comparison to antidepressant drugs & the results of the studies were astounding. Using the general depression scale, both the drug & 5-HTP groups displayed identical reduction in depression. Depressed people who are in need of medical care who received 100 mg of 5-HTP three times daily, showed at least a 50% betterment in their symptoms, without any reported side effects. Subsequent studies were performed using 5-HTP for anxiety, panic disorder, sleep difficultnesses & obesity. An apparent decline was also noticed in anxiety sensations or changes & persons who requires medical care with panic disorder noticed a sentiment of relief after receiving 5-HTP. Always seek professional counsel before self prescribing.

Getting out in the sunlight for 20 minutes a day is an easy way to support boost serotonin levels. This may also support reduce stress levels, another essential element involved in helping with serotonin. If you are going to take stimulants & party pills, make sure you pre load with the rectify amino acids & nutrients before & afterwards.

The herb St Johns Wort is used distinctively for helping with mild to moderate depression. It has a authenti mild anti-depressant medicinal action and is considered a nerve tonic. Its action is gentle, yet very effective. Its combining of sedative action and nervous scheme revitalizing properties make it an idealisti herb for use in anxiety, irritability, neuralgia, nerve harm or injury, nervous tension, depression and standard nervous scheme debility. The best researched St Johns Wort supplement is called Remotiv ®, made by Zeller AG, a company in Switzerland with over 135 years of herbal medicine experience. This is the only St Johns Wort I know of that may be taken in conjunction with the contraceptive pill.

Researcher Dr Sandra Siedlecki, of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation finished studies which showed that listening to music had a statistically significant effect in reducing pain, depression and disability and increasing sensations of power. I personally think there is not one thing more exhilarating than singing at the top of your voice to your favourite song.

There are a lot of things which may aid if you are suffering with depression. Consider addressing any nutritional deficiencies, as suggested above. Other considerations include talking to a professional who may support you to clarify your thoughts, learn better coping accomplishments and see if there are outside influences which could be contributing to these feelings.

Do you have an anxiety problem which is affecting your life? Do you overreact to everything or have pain attacks for no reason? Do you wake up in the middle of the night in a state of panic, in a cold sweat and with your heart racing out of control? Many persons with panic disorders may be treated either conservatively with therapy of stress control and relaxation methods, but some people end up being placed on an anti-anxiety medications.

Any time I see people who are in need of medical care in my exercise with anxiety disorders, in almost each case, the person alternatively chooses not to sleep on his or her back. The reasons for this is that due to sure anatomic factors, if the person lays flat on his or her back, then due to gravity, the tongue falls back partially. If they have littler than normal jaws, or any degree of dental crowding, the tongue falls back even further. Everything is fine until they go into deep sleep, when all the muscles (including the throat and tongue muscles) relax, and the tongue falls back and obstructs breathing.

At this point, one of three things may happen:

1. You may wake up without delay to light sleep or exclusively awake, marveling why they are of a sudden awake,

2. You may stop breathing for 1-9 seconds and then wake up to light sleep or exclusively awake, choking, coughing or gasping for air, with your heart pounding, or

3. You may stop breathing for more than 10 to 40 seconds, and then wake up go back to sleep.

Depending on how sensible your nervous system is, you will either wake up quickly each time you obstruct, or wake up after long breathing pauses. A pause for more than 10 seconds is called an apnea. More than 5-10 apneas each hour means you may have obstructive sleep apnea.

To recompense for breathing problems, most humans with anxiety like to sleep on their sides or stomach, but whenever they roll onto their backs, this is when they are most likely to obstruct and wake up. Imagine if you kept waking up from deep to light sleep 5-10 times each hour. Think how you would feel for the duration of the day. Your nervous system, emotions and senses will be heightened, and you’ll overreact to each little thing. Plus you’ll be always tired, no matter how long you sleep.

So the next time you go to sleep, think when it comes to your sleep position, and which position you tend to wake up most often. If you developed a habit of sleeping on your back for whatsoever reason (your grandmother told you it was healthy, or your dermatologist told you to do so to reduce facial wrinkles), go back to sleeping on your back or side, or whichever is more comfortable.

Schroeder
I confess to being disappointed. I read the book after being diagnosed (and treated for) sleep apnea and I was looking for a deeper understanding of why I have it and what I can do to be less tired. The vast majority of the book seems devoted to trying to convince the reader that poor sleep can be a cause of just about every disease or problem a person can have. It’s only at the very end of the book that any suggestions are made, and most of them struck me as either obvious (the standard litany of sleep hygiene suggestions such as go to bed at the same time every night), impractical (arrange your schedule so you can get a long sleep every night), or lacking detail.

Heavenly Father, In this season of recession where some are in need Send your angels to give ease and lead; Robotics have moved in and a great deal of jobs are lost Employment downsizing has come at a mighty cost; Companies are moving overseas and south of the border And families are actually frustrated with sleep disorder.

Gracious Father,

Help those engaged in a struggle and give them in these causing sad feelings of gloom and inadequacy times an anchor Save their homes from the repossessing and mean bankers; Preserve their cars to transport their family members to and from work Bless their finances and concede them a great deal of gains and perks; Many are attempting to win a victory over but the obstacles just won’t go away Open new doors for them as a sign of your grace and a new day.

Merciful Father,

Look upon the management persons and their actions at the work sites. Teach bosses how to lead and manage in Your best light; Transform the hearts of those who are worried and discontented Preserve those not liked and are getting railroaded; There is sufficient successfulness and affluence in Your world for all And there is no earthly reason why a family today will have to fall.

Almighty Father,

Touch the heart of those peculiarly politicians in power Show them Your light each and each hour; Teach them Your love and grace is best and will preserve Even the little humans considered inferior the best deserve; The blessings of life plant in their minds and hearts Your love and mercy from Your humans will never depart.

Dear Father,

In Your name with these words we pray Bless each hearts today and always in Your way; In the precious name of your crucified and risen son The battle is in Your hands and will be won; You have always protected Your people with grace Therefore, wrap them in Your loving embrace, Amen!

From Publishers WeeklyIn a wry, arch, self-consciously Eliotic voice, Gewanter attempts in this second collection to chart a vexed moral universe: “Daily I am told/ to love my neighbor-but huddled/ inside my love is a loathing for his filthy life.” Socially conscious lyrics that pick up from Robert Lowell (Gewanter was the co-editor of the not so long ago freed Lowell Collected) juxtapose the classical with the contemporary: Bill Clinton comes on as Catullus; a Parkinson’s patient is called “Mr. Circe.” General Motors, Hitler, Charles Atlas and John F.
End Depression, Anxiety and Other Mood Disorders through Energy Cleansing and Healing

Depression, anxiety and other mood disorders are at epidemic levels in the United States. So is insomnia. The good news is that you may end the devastation of these illnesses. You only need to cleanse, heal and re-charge your energy body. Through energy cleansing, healing and re-charging, you will quickly improve your brain alchemy and achieve peace of mind and an internal sentiment of peace, joy and happiness. You will sleep well again and you will be filled with positive and vibrant energy.

If your energy body is not clean, intact and vibrant, no medicine will heal your depression, anxiety and other mood disorders or insomnia. The reason is that all sickness including mental impairment of normal physiological function starts with low vibration negative energy that is attached to you. This negative energy blocks the free flow of life strength energy or chi, which is high vibration energy.

Life strength energy is very potent haling energy that is abundantly available from the Universe. If our energy bodies (aura, chakras and meridians) are blocked by negative energy and, therefore, can not draw, procedure and disseminate chi as healing and life preserving energy, our physical bodies (which are principally salt water) get damaged. We become ill. Negative energy blockages in our energy bodies harm our brain chemistry, leading to mental illness. A vibrant energy body is related with positive energy and the energy of love (love is a finelooking life affirming energy felt as a sweet and comforting vibration in the heart chakra). Life, nature, love, balance, high energy, good mental and physical health and pleasure all go together.

Medicine will stabilize your sensations or changes (and that is important), but it will not be sufficient to heal you. You will have to work with Reiki and energy healers to extract negative energy from you, cut not wanted energy affixations and tendrils (through which your life strength energy is drained by others- largely unconsciously) and re-charge your energy body often. This is done for the most part through meditation exercises, visualization techniques, positive thinking and prayer from the heart chakra (spiritual prayer). Re-orient your life to not measuredly harming or deceiving others, and loving yourself and others (this generates positive energy). Through visualizations, release stored negative energy from traumas and stress. Become a positive thinker. Love and take pleasure in life and fill yourself with peace and joy. You ought to establish boundaries, build self love, self selfassurance and self respect and stop generating negative energy.

To be mentally and physically healthy, your energy body (your aura, chakras and meridians) ought to be free of negative energy. Chi energy (the energy of life) must flow freely through your energy body without blockage from negative energy. This may only be achieved through a combining of Reiki and other types of energy healing and ongoing spirituality, positive thinking, positive beliefs, positive speech and positive acts and not purposely harming or deceiving others (because that generates a lot of negative energy that undermines one’s own happiness), self-love and a positive mind-set. The negative energy you generate by your thoughts, acts, speech and beliefs and one’s ongoing proximity to negative and toxic humans will drain and harm your energy body, leaving you depressed, listless and unhappy. But, healing is easy.

As a Reiki master and life coach, I have concentered on healing depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and insomnia. I have applied energy healing and other proficiencies that protect and build up one’s energy body and self esteem. These proficiencies include visualization, meditation, establishing and preserving reasonable boundaries with people, avoiding negative and toxic people, adopting positive beliefs and thinking and handling stress components in a positive way. These proficiencies enable humans to be totally engaged in each precious moment of life with full presence, participation and joy. These proficiencies enable persons to rid themselves of painful and negative memories and stored anger and hate. They instruct persons to consciously monitor their thoughts and stop their negative thoughts on command. They instruct persons to pardon themselves and all others and free themselves of anger, stored painful memories, jealousy, hate, low self-esteem and guilt.

I instruct humans to make their own pleasure and peace of mind their number one priority in life. I have taught them that their own pleasure and high self respect is their birth right and that they are genuinely each miracles of creation. For in the end, it is love of self and others that generates high vibration positive energy. In the end, love is the high vibration energy that is found in the center of one’s heart chakra that we may send and receive from the humane heart. Love is chi, the energy of life. Life, love and pleasure ought to be cultivated through a combining of Reiki healing, meditation and visualization proficiencies to end depression, anxiety, mood disorders and insomnia and find peace of mind, peace of spirit, high energy, joy and happiness. High vibration positive energy (i.e., chi) shakes off, burns off and repels low vibration negative energy (negative energy is the energy of pain, impairment of normal physiological function and death).

You may only find pleasure as a sentiment inside yourself. You may only find pleasure and end mood disorders once you make your own pleasure your number one priority in life. Your pleasure is your birth right. A full and vibrant energy body is your birthright. Life without ongoing fear, worry, anger and strife is your birthright. Your capacity to love life and have fun and be filled with positive energy is your birthright. Your capacity to give and receive love by channeling the love as energy (through a clean and vibrant heart chakra is your birthright. Do not give your energy, power or birthright away to others.

Stay balanced and grounded. Balance your relationships and do not through guilt feelings or low self esteem, make any person else a priority over your happiness. Your relationships with others ought to be balanced so that there is always an equivalent interchange of energy – a give and a take. This will keep out of the way of energy drainage. Negative and toxic people will drain your energy. There is no equivalent interchange of energy with negative and toxic people. They ofttimes will provoke you into an angry or fearful response and cause you to obsess with regards to them or what they did to your and others. This transfers your energy and power to them (at the unconscious level of our energy bodies). It then takes away your peace of mind and happiness, makes you stressed out and in the long run leads to mental and physical; illness.

Do not let others get you angry or afraid. Be conscious of and control your thoughts and emotions. Avoid negative and toxic people and/or build and maintain strong boundaries with them. Do not let them dominate your thoughts and cause you to hold onto pain. Do not let them drain your energy. Avoid them. Also, forgive, forget, detach and let go. Be conscious of your thoughts and reaction to stress. If your thoughts and reactions to stress are negative, you will deplete your own energy. You will end up with negative energy blockages in your energy body if your thoughts are negative and you react negatively and impulsively to stress factors. A negative state of mind and being will undermine your own peace of mind, peace of spirit and joy for life.

Speech and acts intended to hurt or deceive others will undermine your own peace of mind, peace of spirit and joy for life. Illness will result form all this negative energy. Always keep n mind that negative thoughts, beliefs, emotions and intent to hurt or deceive others generate negative energy, which will undermine your health and pleasure by creating negative energy blockages.

Traumas and stress (most oftentimes by painful interactions with negative and toxic persons and negative and painful memories from childhood) cause deep negative energy blockages that penetrate the mental and aroused layers of our auras. Through visualizations, meditation and prayer, we may let go and detach from negative and painful memories. Negative energy blockages drain and harm one’s energy body. When one’s energy body is filled with low vibration negative energy, one becomes negative and low. Negative energy blockages compel ongoing negative thoughts and emotions, ruminations and ongoing negative response to stress factors. Negative energy blockages drain your energy and make you feel stressed out, worried, angry and afraid. They lead to a fight or flight mentality, a “me- first,” survival orientation. So, negative energy blockages compel us to generate more and more negative energy by our ongoing negative beliefs, thoughts, acts, speech, emotions and beliefs. We then find ourselves caught in a cascade of negativity and negative energy that in the end makes us ill.

Negative energy is also generated by a poor self image. Use visualization and meditation proficiencies along with positive affirmations to build up a person’s self-love, self selfconfidence and self esteem. Use visualization proficiencies to rid oneself of guilty conscience and shame. Everyone has an energy body and a physical body. Our energy body is invisible to most. It animates our physical body and gives our physical body life. Some call the energy body our spirit.

Our energy body is attached to our physical body. It includes an aura that surrounds us and protects us from negative energy (negative energy is low vibration energy that is the important cause of illness), as well as chakras (spinning energy axles with energy wheels on both ends that go through our energy bodies) and meridians (energy channels that are the energy equivalent to veins and arteries). A good mental and aroused state requires a clean, vibrant and healthful energy body, free of negative energy blockages and energy attachments.

Chi energy bolsters our immune scheme and ensures that our physical bodies function properly. It reverses the harm to brain alchemy done by stress, trauma and negative energy. Unfortunately, in galore cases our energy bodies are broken, cracked and blocked by negative energy and drained by negative and toxic persons and our own negative and toxic beliefs and thoughts. As a result, our energy bodies can not decently draw in and disseminate chi (life strength energy) for healing. The end result of a dysfunctional energy body is mental and physical illness. When one’s energy body is damaged and blocked by negative energy, chi energy cannot flow through it the right way to support one’s health. Brain alchemy is damaged. The negative energy that blocks and invades one’s energy body is often times caused by our own negative thoughts, emotions, acts and speech and our negative reaction to stress factors.

Negative thoughts are tied to negative emotions. Negative emotions include anger, fear, worry, jealousy, etc. These emotions cause us to experience stress, mainly by our reaction to external and painful events and our ongoing obsessive and ruminating thoughts when it comes to them. They cause stress because of our desire to control and manipulate and judge others, rather of accepting. Ego causes resistance and resistance causes stress and negativity. Acceptance is liquid and peaceful. When we elevate soul over ego in governance of self, we generate positive energy. Negative energy is also caused by a fight or flight mentality and fight or flight home and work environments. Stress will harm your energy body and drain your energy. So, it is critical (in fighting depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and insomnia) to keep away from stressful home and work environments and negative and toxic persons who cause you stress.

Otherwise, you ought to consciously work at being Zen-like around negative and toxic humans and environments and not let them rob you of happiness. It is also necessary to prevent yourself from reacting negatively to stressful situations and provocations. You will have to set boundaries and maintain them to be happy and peaceful inside.

Make your own pleasure and peace of mind and spirit your number one priority in life. All this takes the training. In addition the energy body may be damaged and critical life strength energy drained from negative and toxic people.

The good news is your brain alchemy may be normalized once your energy body is cleansed and healed and made vibrant and intact. Reiki practitioners and other energy healers may repair one’s energy body and extract negative energy from it and remove energy affixations from it. Energy attachments, a damaged energy body and attached and embedded negative energy in one’s energy body cause obsessive thoughts, ruminations and negative thoughts and emotions that drain your energy. But, they may be effortlessly got rid of and extracted and your energy body cleansed, healed, repaired, balanced and re-charged. This may all be effortlessly done through Reiki, and energy vibration healing (such as Emotional Freedom Techniques and Shamanic healing and crystal healing) along with meditation, prayer and positive thinking.

Once the energy body is repaired and cleansed, you need to defend and protect your energy (through psychic shielding techniques) and stop burning energy needlessly with negative thoughts and emotions. By adopting positive thinking techniques, you stop spinning and running thoughts, obsessive thoughts and ruminations (all of which burn and deplete your energy). You need to use visualization proficiencies to detach from painful memories (these affixations cause obsessive and ongoing negative thoughts and emotions that drain and deplete one’s life strength energy). You need to use meditation and prayer proficiencies to remainder and pacify your mind and spirit. Through Reiki and meditation, you cleanse your aura and chakras of negative energy. You then shift your consciousness to your heart or solar plexus from your head and live in your body center. Use your brain for work, hobbies and errands. Live in the moment. Live in your body center (not in your thoughts).

Learn how to be to the full or entire extent present in each precious moment in life (and stop thinking regarding the future or the past while the cherished moments of life slip away). Learn to see and be grateful for life and nature all around you and your connection to life and nature. To be happy, feel your connection to life and nature each day. Feel the miracle of life and nature each your connection to it. Spend more time in nature and in meditating in nature and visualization of nature in meditation. Be thankful for your life. It is precious and short and a miracle.

Begin to live life again by shifting your cognizance you’re your heart there and out of your head. The head is the seat of thoughts and ego, but not life and love. The heart is the seat of life and love. Through visualization, you will learn to feel the divine high vibrations of chi energy, happiness, love and life. Visualize that white light bombards your heart and melts the hard shell away. Push out visualized white light from your heart through and around your entire body as you visualize that you are a divine being off pure white light inside and out. Daily meditation, prayer and visualization from your heart chakra are necessary to sentiment the high vibrations of chi, love, peace and happiness. Smile. Be thankful for life. You are a divine being of pure white light attached to a physical body. Your physical body gives you the physical experience of life.

As you spend more time in meditation and prayer and in the white light, as you spend more time in your heart chakra, you will begin to comprehend that you are a divine and eternal being of white light and love. Once you feel the high vibration of your divine nature in your heart chakra, you will understand that you are connected to the Universe, the Creator and all other life through your energy body. Each day, affirm to yourself that you are a divine being of white light, so happy to be alive. Affirm to yourself that you are happy, peaceful and serene and so thankful for your life and it is galore blessings. Affirm to yourself how fortunate you are to be alive. In order to be happy and not bitter, affirm each day that you love, respect, receive and pardon yourself and you pardon all others. Detach from ongoing thoughts regarding the pain have caused yourself or others have caused you. Reach closure in your own mind you’re your own past acts and the past acts and words of others. Through visualization (and for the sake of your own pleasure – your birthright), let go of guilt, shame, anger and hate. Let go and pardon so the ongoing grip of past stress and traumas do not undermine your health, pleasure and immune system.

Make a conscious effort to be positive in your thoughts and speech. Get rid of words like “fear, worry and hate” because they program your beliefs in a negative way. Make a conscious venture to hold your tongue, listen and be patient. See yourself as an astounding miracle of creation and a share of the miracle of life and nature. Smile. Let go of negativity and see the world and your life as infused with infinite future prospects or potentials and a short and fantasti miracle. As you completely connect with your pure, loving and holy higher self and your fun loving and happy inner child, you will love life again lie you did as a child and you will without apparent effort and mechanically draw in and routine chi energy (life strength energy) for your health and happiness.

Close your eyes and relax and breathe deeply in and out and smile. Breathe in visualized white light as unconditional love and breathe out as visualized black smoke all fear, anxiety, anger and negativity. Become the light in your mind’s eye. Float free in your mind’s eye. You are spirit, an eternal being of energy. Let go of the negative and just relax. Shift your knowingness into your heart from your head. Visualize yourself as a divine being of blazing white light. Smile as you connect with this loving and happy being of blazing white light from your heart. Then comprise this effigy of yourself into you through visualization and become this being. Have fun again. Be spontaneous again. Unload your burdens to the Universe and the Creator and ask for help. You will get it.

Shift your cognizance from your head to your heart. Put your hand over your heart and close your eyes. Visualize that your heart center is a blazing sun of pure white light. Now push out the white light from your heart center and fill up your head and body and legs and arms. Push out the white light all around your body regarding 6 inches to a foot. See that white light as your blazing high vibration aura. Fill your self up with visualized white light through your deep breathing and visualization. Feel the white light in and around you vibrate all negativity out of you Keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths – breathe in visualized white light and breathe out visualized black smoke (breathe out all fear, anger and negativity). Let it go. Let all negativity go. Stop thinking, and just be, just subsist in the moment. Calmly stay in your heart chakra, the center of your being and your connection to your eternal soul. Remember to thank the Creator each day for life and stay in the white light. Go back to white light visualization and breathing whenever you are afraid. Close your eyes and relax. Thank and pray to the Creator daily.

Whenever you are afraid, worried or anxious or agitated, go to big bodies of water in reality or through visualization and take in and breathe in that beauteous blue water. See yourself drifting in the middle of a calm ocean on a cloudless day – the light blue of the sky meets the light blue of the water. Float peacefully on that water in your mind. Close your eyes and relax. Alternatively, close your eyes, breathe deeply and smile whenever you get afraid! Our lives are wonderful, short and temporary miracles. But, you are an eternal being of pure white light. You are veritably loved by angelic beings and the Creator. Nothing may hurt you. So, don’t be afraid. Change your beliefs from negative to positive, from rigid and finite to open and infinite and your thoughts will follow. Positive affirmations, prayer and meditation will help. Learn to be conscious of your thoughts and speech and stop negative thoughts and speech. Stop judgmental thoughts and speech and stop ongoing ruminating thoughts in regards to humans and negative things they did to you. Let go and detach from these things through visualization and mind control.

Reiki and Shamanic healing and other modes of energy healing, self-love, boundaries, meditation, visualization, ending negative beliefs and thoughts and positive thinking and spirituality are critical for your health and happiness. Build up your energy body and stop energy drainage through your beliefs, thoughts, emotions, acts and speech. Build up a bountiful and high vibration energy body filled with positive energy.

Energy drainage and low vibration, negative energy leads to a poor immune system and illness. High vibration, positive energy leads to good health and happiness. The end result of energy cleansing and healing is peace of mind, peace of spirit, pleasure and a vibrant energy body. Your cleansed and healed energy body will shake off, burn off and repel negative, low vibration energy that causes pain and illness. You will be happy as you feel love and pleasure and peace. You will be happy as energy healing leads to freedom from pain. These proficiencies aid end depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and insomnia. In the end, while we need numerous ego, we ought to not permit our lives to be overshadowed by ego. It is ego that sees the self and only the self and then reacts to sensed or real threats with anger, fear, hate, jealousy, etc. it then causes low self respect and. All these emotions are low vibrations. So, we need to live life in the moment and know and then stop ongoing ego-oriented emotions and thoughts.

My books, End of Mood Disorders, The Road to Happiness and The Road to Healing, good Health and Wellness will instruct you the proficiencies discussed in this article to end depression, anxiety and insomnia and fetch you internal peace and happiness.

Most humans recap the day’s events before going to sleep. This leads to insomnia for numerous people as they bemoan, make an analyzation of and judge each detail over and over. “What If…?” “If Only…,” “He/she said…” or “He/she did…” are the refrains. Or perhaps you did or said something to an individual else that provided that person chance to respond with an unkind or critical response. You may be on either the giving or receiving end of the chance for distress. The situations you’re looking for may be as severe as a physical altercation or as innocuous as a mumbled snide remark. And then at night rather of falling asleep you assign a value of gross injustice to the incidents. This is a recipe for insomnia to be sure. However, there is no need to keep this losing cycle going.

For each incident of sensed injustice, follow this three-step routine in your mind rather of the late night tossing and turning:

o	Forgive yourself

o	Forgive the other person

o	Give the other person permission to pardon you

1.	Forgive yourself for any hurt you may have done to yourself or any person else. You need to reach the sincere, strong heart-felt sentiment stage in forgiving yourself. Some humans find this the most difficult part of the exercise as we are taught from a young age to pardon others, but one isn’t taught to pardon oneself. We many times have much higher expected values and standards for ourselves than we do for others. Give yourself the same considerateness you give others. Note that forgiving is the initial step. It is out of the question to veritably pardon another, if you are unwilling or unable to pardon yourself.

2.	Forgive the other person for any injure he/she may have done to you. This means a sincere, strong heartfelt sentiment stage to pardon them. Realize that he/she is merely a person who is threatened in a good deal of way, has feelings, and is working on a peculiar agenda. You aren’t letting them off the hook for their “unacceptable’ conduct or lack of respect; you are acknowledging that everything any person does is prompted by something in that person’s life that has no reflectivity on your or your character.

3.	Give the other person permission to pardon you for any injure you may have caused him/her. There are two points involved in this step. First point that that only seldom is a circumstance completely one-sided. You have your piece in the situation–perhaps unwittingly, but none the less it is your piece of the equation. Own your piece. The contributing factor might be as little as plainly being at the defective place at the defective time. The second point is that we fetch our own personal attitudes, prejudices and values to each event in our lives. And our perspective is in all likelihood wholly dissimilar from the other person. From the other person’s point of view, his/her activenesses or words may be exclusively rational, logical and true. If you neglect or refuse to finish this step of the process, you will find that the forgiveness procedure is neither totally satisfying nor effective.

The three-step forgiveness procedure takes you half-way to your goal of neutralizing specific negativity. Forgiving is half the process. The other half is accomplished by finding galore factor of good for you in the negative experience. Ask yourself–What may I learn from this experience? Whether the volume of that good equates to only a tiny seed of good or to an entire galaxy of good is irrelevant. You need to find a heap of aspect that is positive for you. Every experience gains you, if you reflect on it is value for the long-term. The value might be that you learn: What to do or What not to do.

Ultimately, forgiveness is for you, not for anybody else. With forgiveness you may achieve peace of mind. If you fail to pardon you proceed to carry that ‘baggage’ forward–gathering more as you go until you have a heavy load to carry.

Forgiving yourself and others is the key to happiness.

When a client comes to me with mood remainder problems, I almost always offer them a specially invented conventional herbal tonic as share of my comprehensive approach to Mood and Energy Wellness.

My clients (and I personally) find these tonics to be a key asset in sustaining stable, balanced, centered, and symmetrical moods all around the day.

The precise formulation of herbal tinctures that I combine for each client varies and is proprietary.

Generally these are the herbs I choose from for their effects on depression, anxiety, insomnia, irritability, and nervousness.

St. John’s Wort

Many studies attest to the capacity of St. John’s Wort to in a positive manner affect depression. St. John’s Wort has at least 10 active ingredients that help in relieving depression. As proven as those active ingredients are, never forget that the whole herb is going to be more powerful than it is extracted ingredients. St. John’s Wort helps relieve depression by:

Acting like a Serotonin Reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) similar to SSRI anti-depressant medications.

Acting as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor keeping this neurotransmitter at optimal levels. Low norepinephrine levels results in fatigue and lack of energy. Optimal norepinephrine levels are indispensable for cardiovascular functioning, thermal regulation, vascular functioning (blood vessels) and act in the central nervous scheme to improve mood and concentration.

Inhibits exuberant cortisol secretion.

Lifts dopamine levels. Low levels of dopamine leave you without adequate motivation and prone to compulsions and additions.

Enhances the action of the natural tranquilizer GABA in the brain.

A number of studies have demonstrated the efficacy of St. John’s Wort in bettering depression sensations or changes with approximately 80% of people using St. John’s Wort finding relief.

Black Cohosh

Black Cohosh is an analgesic nervine relaxant and helps rectify low estrogen states in depression. Black Cohosh is particularly conveyed for deep dark depression that seems to descend out of nowhere. It helps when the mind is chaotic and wild with little capacity to focus that results in acute or chronic anxiety.

New exploration gives evidence of that Black Cohosh helps mood imbalances through directly effecting neurotransmitters and not just as a phytoestrogen acting like estrogen. It appears that Black Cohosh works through the brain and hypothalamus. It does so by affecting the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine – which helps explain why it alleviates mood swings and irritability.

Siberian Ginseng

Siberian Ginseng is an adaptogen and helps the body reach a healthful homeostatic state and more without apparent effort manage and comprise the stress that may act as a trigger for depression. It raises mood and increments non- specific immunity, which makes it in particular helpful when depression occurs in conjunction with chronic illness.

Siberian Ginseng acts as both a mild tranquilizer and neurostimulant and has both a calming and a stimulating effect utile in both manic or depressive phases and sedation and arousal depressive states. The stimulation achieved with Siberian Ginseng does not invent nervousness and over stimulation but rather a relaxed sense of well-being – calming and at the same time invigorating.

It may raise norepinephrine levels helping to induce motion and motivation for desired projects. Plus, it works as a nerve tonic to calm the agitation that may come with depression.

Siberian Ginseng is specially supportive for stressed and overtaxed adrenals and because adrenal gland tissue is neuroendocrine tissue, Siberian Ginseng provides the adrenal support along with brain support. It stimulates the adrenals to aid give more energy to the body and the cholinergic (calming) nervous system. Its effect on the adrenal glands is more tonic-like than stimulating and acts to normalize adrenal activity. The use of Siberian Ginseng switches adrenal function from a cortisol/catoblic focus to a DHEA/anabolic focus resulting in building and energizing and normalizing physiological functioning all around the body.

Siberian Ginseng has a long valued capacity to improve performance and withstand averse conditions without experiencing averse effects. It likewise increments mental alertness, improves concentration, and has been found to increase the transmission of nerve impulses in the brain.

In addition, Siberian Ginseng holds concentrated nourishment – in particular for the brain and the nervous system. A well-nourished brain and nervous system are less likely to fall victim to mood imbalances.

Passion Flower is magnificent remedy for reducing and settling rumination – the exuberant and repetitious thinking so often times accompanying depression and other mood disorders. Passion Flower is effective in managing generalized anxiety and nervous restlessness.

This is a tame but powerful nervine, which affects the limbic-hippocampal area in the brain. By so doing, the plant helps to filter out exuberant stimuli from the body and modulates internal and external nervous input protecting the brain from exuberant stimulation, reducing sensations or changes of excitability, restlessness, headaches, and palpitations.

I’ve tried traditionalisti sleep aids. They make me too drowsy, and have even increased my daytime anxiety- Yikes! If I don’t get a good sleep, I have trouble controlling my erratic mind for the duration of the day. I have been exploring natural medicinal number of things from which only one can be chosen in the last few years, however, and Clarocet PM is the most tame and effective I’ve experienced. There are some better natural remedies from others for much less cost that include Valerian and Melatonin. I would have to take 4-6 of these to have any effect equated to 1 of another brand whether it is Vitamin World or Vitamin Shoppe. Valerian is OK for a natural herb when it comes to helping one relax and melatonin is good for falling asleep, Clarocets problem is it lacks a sufficient amount of ingredients to do the job. The best solution for my sleep issues would be if the American government would take the Islamic threat on the USA and world more seriously, God knows the EU doesn’t at all, but with Obama for the next three years I don’t suppose it to change.

Anxiety is a normal humane emotion that every one experiences from time to time. However chronic anxiety is in imbalance that may mainly affect one’s life in a negative way. Anxiety may take a great deal of forms, including panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder.

Chronic anxiety may lead to severe physical sensations or changes and primarily affect one’s life when left untreated.

Unfortunately the established method of treating anxiety with medications is both not complete and potentially very destructive to the individual. This method attempts to suppress sensations or changes rather of addressing the causes. The drugs traditionally employed carry a heap of dangerous side effects and are in general only considered safe for short-term use. This is neither an effective nor long-term solution.

When treating anxiety naturally, it initial important to become conscious that persons who are affected by chronic anxiety are in general very sensible individuals. This means they are sensible energetically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Highly sensible humans in general have more outstanding intuition and high IQ levels. They are more keenly conscious of their surroundings than others and are affected by their surroundings. They also tend to be peculiarly sensible to chemicals and toxic foods they ingest.

Sensitive persons need to become conscious of their sensitivity, and know that it is both a benediction and gift, but that it may likewise present specific challenges. Understanding these challenges and learning how to deal with them naturally empowers the person to live a live that is healthy, joyful, peaceful, and fulfilling.

There is a 3 step approach to treating anxiety naturally:

1. Replace medications with safe herbal and nutritional remedies.

2. Correct biological imbalances with proper nutrition.

3. Learn proper self-care and coping mechanisms.

1. Replace medications with safe herbal medicines

There are galore natural herbal medicines and foods that may support to aid an person while weaning off of anxiety medications. These may be used on an on-going basis, or when anxiety arises. Some of the most ordinarily used include valerian, passionflower, California poppy, kombucha, flower essences, and blue-green algae.

Valerian Passiflora – This is a combining of valerian root and passionflower. Best taken in tincture form, these herbs help to calm the central nervous system to ease sensations of anxiousness and promote restful sleep

California Poppy – This plant is an amazing herbal tension reliever, again without causing drowsiness. Poppy is great for use in preventing or treating a panic attack, and as a alternate for conventional anxiety medications.

Kombucha – An ancient Chinese beverage containing l-theanine, an amino acid which may help to calm the mind without causing drowsiness, and likewise increase capacity to focus without stimulation. Kombucha also has naturally occurring B-vitamins, which in general get depleted quickly in persons with anxiety due to high levels of stress in the body. To sum it up, kombucha may actually take the edge off when one feels anxious or stressed.

Flower Essences – These are vibrational remedies prepared by infusing flowers in water in intense sunlight or heat. Flower essences have specific apps for aroused imbalances and tendencies, and may be applied to aid anxiety and aroused health in general.

Blue Green Algae – This superfood is an algae that grows wild in the pristine waters of Upper Klamath Lake in Oregon. Loaded in nutrients, blue green algae has been used to treat and help a potpourri of physiological ailments. Due to it is omega-3 and high B-vitamin content, blue green algae may provide critical nutritional support for the person dealing with anxiety. Anxiety causes stress to the body on galore levels, which gives rise to depletion of the body’s critical nutrients. This in turn may lead to further neurological imbalances which may exacerbate sensations or changes of anxiety and aroused imbalance. Blue green algae supports a health brain and nervous system.

2. Correct biological imbalances with proper nutrition

As brought up earlier, biological imbalances may be a cause of anxiety. Nutrient deficiencies may affect brain function and the role of neurotransmitters in regulating mood and emotions. Once recognized, these imbalances may be systematically corrected by eliminating foods that are nutrient-deficient and consuming foods that are nutrient-rich.

Foods to eliminate include processed foods, dairy products, and wheat and gluten-containing products. Alcohol, caffeine, and sugar will have to also be avoided. These foods ought to be substituted with critical alive raw foods including fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and seeds. These natural foods are rich in nutritional value and help optimal brain and body function. This is particularly important for the sensible individual, who is in general more affected by the foods he or she consumes. Feeding the body healthful critical alive foods results in healthful critical functioning of all of the body’s systems. A diet of predominately raw foods has been reported to eliminate sensations of anxiety and stress by elimination of toxic foods that develop imbalances, and replenishing the body’s nutrients for optimal brain function.

3. Learn proper self-care and coping mechanisms

In order for the sensible person to thrive, positive self-care and coping proficiencies will have to be learned and regularly practiced. The following are suggestions that may help to ease and prevent bouts of anxiety and publicize a relaxed and balanced state of mind:

Meditation

The exercise of meditation involves taking time for stillness and deep breathing. The anxious person has a tendency to rush and panic. Making time and space to relax and shut off the mind, even for brief moments in the day may profoundly affect one’s capacity to deal with the inevitably stresses of life. Meditation may be practiced sitting or laying down, closing, the eyes, and taking deep breaths. Aromatherapy, crystals, or relaxing music may be used to heighten relaxation.

Yoga & Exercise

Exercise acts as a method by which stress and anxious sensations may release from the body. Yoga, tame stretching, aerobic exercise, and walking are all effective practices. Whatever the method, regular exercise is necessary for one’s physical and aroused well-being.

Self-Care Ritual

Everyone may gain from a each day self-care ritual. This could include meditation, exercise, showering and self-pampering, self massage, and journaling. Scheduling time for a every day self-care ritual may principally heighten the quality of life for the highly sensible individual, and may be an effective tool in anxiety management.

This 3-pronged approach to the treatment of anxiety may be an effective substitute to conventional treatment. As the sensible person embarks on the path of natural and nutritional healing and proper self care, he or she will find that imbalances like anxiety may become obsolete, and one’s innate gifts may be more efficaciously and joyfully offered to the world!

The product has worked for me and my wife. It doesn’t knock you out, but calms you down a bit so you can fall asleep. The pills kind of stink, but you can plug you nose when you open the bottle.

Chrissie is a carer. She looks after someone with bipolar manic depression. Life is hard. this is portion of her story.

Despite all the known and recognised cases of this type of depression, the 1 in 25 people suffering include: Stephen Fry, the artisan Van Gogh, the poetical Coleridge and even Carrie the Princess Leila out of Star Wars (you may have watched Fry’s biographical documentary) at a good deal of stage in their lives, they took the brave step to get treatment – and yet a lot of years of medical experience, cases and medicine used has only brought half acknowledgment. They have not brought when it comes to a heal for this rampant and as yet largely incurable condition.

Medication forms the major portion of the preventative action of worsening symptoms. At best stabilising the condition. It is not a heal and may be intermittently dispersed to a less or dandier degree. Similarly abating for a season only to of a sudden and swiftly rear up again rendering the sufferer into a terrible journey. All too often, daunting demoralising and horrendous for both the victim and the nearest relative into a process, which sadly may so oftentimes be the best one may hope to achieve as far as a “cure” is concerned. There are very few cases that are altogether cured – and medication is still even today very much in it is infancy; still trial and error.

Counselling now and then helps using cognitive behaviour therapy, either one to one or in a little group; Both for the sufferer and the persons nearest to them it is at the moment the only other accepted supportive form of treatment.

Not sufficient is known about, or in truth done, to exploration the desolating effects of the sufferer and families concerned. Here my intent is to de-mistify this strange and baffling condition. To humanise and inform as a lot of as I may with regards to some of the a lot of symptoms.

BI-POLAR MANIC DEPRESSION.

What is it? What is the medication? How does it effect you/signs to look out for, the myths and the why/wherefores.

Now before you all start out to panic I’ll put this in a simple nutshell This reasonably mutual yet disruptive in each way mood disorder is the result of a simple imbalance of the chemicals in the brain. It’s not the end of the world. What? Is that it, you ask?

Yep that’s it. An imbalance in the brain. It causes an array of not so simple sensations or changes which will be discussed in good detail.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

Firstly and most significantly hospitalisation either voluntarily or not in a safe and in a professional manner trained environs under the watchful observation of a skilled psychiatrist will be necessitated to stay clear from further harm peril and, in a lot of cases, death.

Then of course after careful observation to build up a finish picture of the sensations or changes and suffering there comes the stabilising medication. In the main form this is ordinarily “Lithium Carbonate.” This is a powerful but time dependent compound the brain needs in order to function properly, in particular absent in a lot of manic depressives or by normal comparison very low.

With the Manic depressive, the causes of this absence are not known, even though doctors argue and have their differing opinions. The brain after all is covered with delicate fluids and hundreds of neuro transmitters, like a tv or a computer. Any major change to the chemicals found in the delicately made brain may cause chaos. Upset.

There are assorted reasons to consider the contributing constituents for the delicate juices of the brain’s sensible remainder being swung out of sync.

The chemical imbalance is ofttimes thought to be particularly disposed in sure groups of persons and to have a predisposition to it is lack in the original place. For example, a great deal of persons who requires medical care have an alcohol dependant parent (usually the mother) which has affected the genetic makeup of the child. Or it has been inherited – passed down from generation to generation. In others there may be no major reason at all.

No one has found a hard and fast 100% cure.

Lithium or now and again Sodium Valproate taken over time is the commonest therapeutic substance known to ease the effects of mania. It is in general well endured and of significant support to alleviate the most stressful of the distressing/mania symptoms. (More of mania later).

But, for most, the effects are not found to be effective immediately, other than as a calming sedative. It has to be taken for at least a year/18 months for any real significant noticeable betterment or benefits. This difficult time amount of time is unfeigned in most cases. Depending, of course, on the severity.

Also, and most unfortunately, like galore drugs there are side effects which may be off putting to say the least. Not much to show for 2007 in the name of medical scientific progress then!

Thirst, weight gain, a bloated feeling, and a tremor, coupled with a probability of possible over toxicity and kidney failure are just a lot of of the main side effects that happen….great! Therefore at least each 3-4 months or bi-annually, depending on the severity and the necessitated therapeutic dose, simple routine but regular blood tests will have to be carried out to check the Lithium levels and safeguard versus possible toxicity.

But what’s the alternative?

Be barking mad? Or be competent to be someplace in-between. The sufferer will without any delay say: “mad it’s more interesting”! But the voice of conscience, of reason, of propriety in the carer in other words, will roar “LITHIUM PLEASE, and as fast as you can”!

THE CAUSES OF BI-POLAR

Some say alcohol/drug abuse causes a trigger into psychosis,(this makes sense taking into account how much harm binge drinking and Class A drugs may do to the body, much less the brain cells!). Others say it is an inherited trait – a wrong gene “gone wrong.” Still others argue that the disorder is triggered by some life altering trauma, child abuse, family breakdown, marital breakdown, bereavement and long term stress. These components are probably all to a degree, true, with much concealed other distinguished elements too.

Cruelly, a great deal of persons with a high IQ are affected. The condition is indiscriminate. I’m not a doctor and consequently am not qualified to conclude who is right or defective – in all probability the cause is a multiple mixture of all that – and much, much more besides.

Even in the medical advances we have today, not sufficient is known, and treatment comprises of trial and error medications, anti-psychotics, sleeping pills/tranquillisers, mood stabilisers and now and again ordinarily in the worst affected, slow release injections.

No one knows precisely why Lithium works for galore and not in others but it is effective in approximately 79% of diagnosed cases. Much is trial and error which poses all sorts of difficultnesses and not wanted side effects. Then again, there are sufferers that may be very regrettably immune to any treatment, long term. And as much as 40% of all severe diagnosed cases will need indefinite continuing treatment for possible relapse.

Probably Lithium is one of the commonest prescribed drugs in stabilising the moods. There are respective dissimilar degrees of severity, sequences and symptoms, which may range amidst reasonably mild (allowing the patient to carry on normal life with minimum disruption,) to a full blown severe “hypermanic” episode.

Bipolar, the progressed more ordinarily employed name, is classified as having a mixture of exaggerated both high and low moods. Contrasting sides of the same coin, on occasion mingling and overlapping each other in a complex cycle of mixed mood/ contradictory behaviours. Hence the name bipolar – opposites to one another.

THE MYTHS

Let me say now that Manic depression is not Schizophrenia; even though in it is uttermost severity does mimic a lot of of the symptoms. And may be just as alarming. I know that this nonpopular stigmatised severe subject has been a long time coming, and in my opinion, well overdue. Exactly why I haven’t up to now trusted myself to wholly give this subject the honesty, sensitivity, time, description respect and clear or deep perception so deserving of those who suffer isn’t a fact I’m proud of.

Here I want to redress the remainder a bit, warts and all, and speak wholly openly. Hopefully stimulate discussion, offer insights, open the door of communication dispel myths and pre conceived ideas; offer hope, encouragement of our own experiences; perchance answer questions that no one else wants to, or can.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RANGE OF SYMPTOMS ?

Before I launch in I will have to emphasise that the following range of sensations or changes are not to be taken for gospel according to Chrissie! Nor is it an individual, professional diagnosis – just my own frank account from the view of the carer of what I have seen and experienced Ok?

Everyone’s case is different. I am just the mediator to give a generalised view as a carer for the past 12 years. You may want to add or take away what I cover; it’s exclusively up to you.

Firstly I’m going to cover a heap of of the complex sensations or changes and characteristics of the bipolar manic depressive (which, remember, is a baffling complex mixture of two opposite depressive behaviours).

THE HIGHS:

A untrue yet very real euphoric feeling

An exaggerated sense of grandiosity (sometimes a finish exaggerated and switch of identity crisis that is convinced of ideas rather beyond reason that they are, say, a king/queen/prolific widely known and esteemed person yes, it sounds hilarious doesn’t it?!)

Ego driven

Confusion

Bewilderment

Nervous exhaustion

Hyper Mania – a severe condition of a euphoric type, and nature causing aroused and irrational behaviour characterised by high nervousness, uttermost energy, uttermost mood swings, thirst, hunger cravings

The disability to reason properly

The potential to cause injure to yourself &/or others.

Everything “on the run”

Starting projects and never finishing them

Chaotic mood swings and violence towards others

Short attention span.

Eccentric costume – e.g. summer costume in the height of winter and vice versa

Clashes with authority/law/social etiquette -another embarrassing experience!

Eventual physical as well as mental breakdown/exhaustion

An unusually high number of sufferers may also suffer with vertigo causing uttermost dizziness, stumbling, giddy, fainting

Panic attacks

Inability to control emotion

Loss of inhibitions, including multiple affairs / an addiction to sex

Fights/punches/confrontations

Reduction in the work front with the disability to live in the real world

Unemployment

WHAT MEDICATION IS OFFERED?

Depending on your severity if you are having what’s called a high mood disorder interspersed with anxiety you will probably be given a therapeutic dose of “Hyperperidol” – a mutual anti psychotic drug to combat psychosis, fetch down any irrational fears and to lull (with varying degrees of success) the effects of mania, bringing the heightened mania side of things to a safer more manageable level.

This is the thing – trial and error.

Lithium Carbonate one of the commonest prescribed drugs to even out mood disorder has had much success in stabilising conditions. Some persons are immune to treatment, where higher doses need to be maintained to have any benefit. Also it may take up to a year or so before any gains are noticeable. And Lithium may be toxic

Lithium is found naturally in healthful brain chemical balances, and doctors are keen to mimic this so what they came across was that the Manic depressive has very low levels of this compound in the brain. By raising Lithium levels this may often times stabilise the condition. However not without a cautionary price.

Over time it may have a toxic effect on the kidneys and rigorous monitoring by way of bi-annual blood tests are carried out to safe guard versus kidneys failure.

Trial and error is the name of the game which may be discouraging and hindering difficult and now and then cause more hurt than good.

Today, 11 years on. the person to whom I care for is considered a moderately stabilised fortunate man.

His psychiatrist whom he is presently consulting once each 2 months at the moment has classified his patient as a low risk, to himself and others and wants to start out him on the drug Valproate – apparently a comparatively new mood stabilising drug.

There are so some dissimilar drugs to undertake and they are altering all the time. But no one has come up with a cure/treatment that doesn’t fetch with both original and long term use; it is own batch of side effects.

Please rest assured that the majority of suffers will NOT inevitably experience all of the above alarming list of sensations or changes at once, and I have painted the very worse scenario so that you may know what you’re dealing with here and what you’re up against. The capacity to empower yourself with a lot of indication of success – in what to do will have to you need help, or recognise somebody close who would gain from a mood stabilising prescription cannot be overestimated.

If this is the case, then I may only stress and repeat to you,

Please see your doctor and get a referral if you or somebody you recognise suffers from at least 4 of the above listed symptoms. With any luck it wont be bipolar but if it is there is somebody and someplace to turn to and at least you’ll know.

I have always believed that getting the proper amount of sleep is important for optimal function-I can feel myself dragging if I don’t get a full night’s sleep. But, realistically, I can rarely sleep 8 hours a night. So, I would find myself wanting a nap a few times a week. But, inevitably, I would sleep for hours and still get up feeling groggy and unrested.

I was definitely skeptical when I first tried Speed Sleep-I find a choir of trumpets would be inadequate in rousing me from my naps. But, it’s truly amazing! Each time I use it, I fall asleep faster and each time I am delighted when I find myself awake and recharged at the end of the 25 minutes.

In the few weeks I’ve used Speed Sleep, I’ve not only saved hours of nap time but also become more productive in my increased waking hours. I would strongly recommend this CD. If you’re busy with work or school, Speed Sleep is a great tool to revitalize quickly and increase your efficiency.

The difference is that it lets you awaken on your own. I would recomend this product to anyone.
I see there is now a Speed Sleep II that I will order.

One of the most difficult things that comes with this disease is inability to sleep. Ironically, a good nights sleep is the very thing that a person who has Bi-Polar disorder needs the most. We had tried EVERYTHING the medical profession had to offer to help with her insomnia to no avail. But then we tried Speed Sleep. She was able to fall asleep and slept through the night the very first time we tried it and she has been sleeping well ever since. If you have insomnia this is the answer!

Work was demoralizing me from 1000-1230hrs so I opted to work from home (Mum and Dad’s)… Worked from Mum and Dad’s just to give myself time to handle this grief.

It’s too easy to forget how sharp and telling the pain of grief is as the years wind on. Reflecting over my 2003 diary not so long ago I was reminded how sudden the depths of depression, anxiety and overall grief would hit. I could’ve been right at 9.30 A.M. and by 10 A.M. an utter mess, shrieking on the inside as I escaped public notice. One day would be okay, the next an abyss. During the above amount of time I was seriously sleep-deprived.

I was astounded when reflecting (yet not in truth astonished in retrospect) when it comes to the link amid anxiety, depression, grief and a whole medley of mental and aroused ailments–and the effect of poor sleep or sleep deprivation.

It’s one thing I also ran into again recently–a poor night’s sleep meant my abilities of coping with even the slightest annoyance and inconveniences were noticeably compromised.

Grief is such an insidiously horrid experience and the last thing we need to exacerbate things is suffer a lack of sleep. But so ofttimes the sarcasm plagues us; grief causes downhearted and anxious sensations which in turn cause sleep deprivation–and sleep deprivation propagates the sensations of depression and anxiety, propounding and extending the grief. It’s a vicious cycle.

The key to all, therefore, is getting sufficient good quality sleep. Here are a lot of considerations to bear in mind:

1. Beware ‘sleep debt’: night after night of little or no sleep puts us further behind. To recover from sleep debt requires a consistent run of healthful nights’ sleep. It might take even up to three or four weeks to to a complete degree recover the sleep debt we’ve build up.

2. We will have to undertake and discipline ourselves to go to bed at the same time and wake at the same time. Routines and the fundamental principle are crucial.

3. If we find ourselves waking in the wee little hours and we struggle to get back to sleep we’re better off getting up and doing a heap of light reading in a soft lit room with a warm glass of milk. Warm, relaxing showers are good too. The trick is replicating the procedure of preparing for bed.

4. Hope is critical. We need to engender hope as much as possible and not worry (easier said than done, I know!).

5. ‘If pain persists see your doctor.’ It might be a paracetamol mantra, but it’s in all likelihood the single best piece of advice. Sleep deprivation, and other counsel and referrals, medication may be a godsend.

The last thing we need when we’re battling grief and the downhearted and anxious sensations ensuing from our battles is a neverending seesawing of the emotions. A lack of sleep will closely surely mean a more with regard to emotions challenging time of it.

The greatest vantage we have in getting our sleep is we reclaim more of our right mind. As a result we’re less prone to the emotions which tend to have their way for the duration of these times as it is.

Author A.A. Milne’s beloved bear, Winnie the Pooh, joins forces with his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood to aid two of their own in Disney’s hand-drawn charmer. Though he describes himself as a “bear of very little brain,” Pooh (Jim Cummings) proves he’s all heart when sad-sack Eeyore’s tail goes missing and a terrible creature called the “Backson” abducts Christopher Robin (Jack Boulter), their humane protector (the schoolboy in truth leaves a note saying he will be “back soon”). Granted, our hero spends the entire traveling dreaming in regards to glorious pots of “hunny,” but when push comes to shove, he prioritizes his pals over his tummy, which rumbles and elaborates as his hunger pangs increase. Wisely, co-directors Don Hall and Stephen J. Anderson refrain from the distraction of instantaneously recognizable actors in favor of animation veterans, like Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), who voices the resourceful Rabbit. While Sebastian Cabot narrated the Winnie featurettes of yore, comedian John Cleese, who at times speaks directly to Pooh, ably steps into his shoes, and talk-show host Craig Ferguson likewise makes a mark as the know-it-all Owl. At 68 minutes, not including short film “The Ballad of Nessie,” this John Lasseter-produced feature will have to captivate most young viewers, even those accustomed to faster-paced, computer-animated features, like Lasseter’s directorial attempts for Pixar. Musician M. Ward and singer/actress Zooey Deschanel of the band She & Him add to the old-fashioned charm with their retro-sounding songs. And be sure to stay through the closing credits for the funny surprise at the end. –Kathleen C. Fennessy

20 of 22 persons found the following review helpful.
A comforting, hilarious, near-perfect kids’ film
By Tiger Holland
Pooh is always in need of honey, but his own search for honey is put off when he hears that his friend Eeyore has lost his tail. Pooh and his other friends embark on a mission to find Eeyore a new tail, and as they work toward that goal, they discover that Christopher Robin is missing. His note says he has been taken by the fearsome Backson monster–either that, or he says he’ll be “Back Soon”. But no matter how a great deal of misunderstandings and missteps Pooh and crew make, they are always a delight to be around.

It’s good to be a percentage of the Hundred Acre Wood again. This film is a return to form for Disney, and it works wondrous and is without apparent effort better than the last three theatrical releases–The Tigger Movie, Piglet’s Big Movie and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie–combined. They were three cute movies, but they were largely forgettable. 2011′s Winnie the Pooh is much more like 1977′s The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with it is lovable and childlike stories in regards to the blustery day and the honey tree. In this film, there is a narrator that Pooh talks to, the characters are conscious that they’re in a story, and there are numerous imaginative instances where the characters interact with the pages and the text that surround them.

The characters are as charming as ever. The new reputation designs are just a slight modify from former films, but the changes are very cool. Pooh and the others have a wider range of facial expressions now, which allows for galore neat close-up animation angles as well as adding to the comedy of the film. Pooh’s looks of confusion, Rabbit’s glares of disbelief, and Owl’s pompous eyebrow-raises are all used to make the funny scenes even funnier.

The sheer number of amusive moments in this movie is shocking. I was expecting to see another average, slightly-dull Pooh movie, but all the children (and all the adults) in the theater were in stitches from beginning to end. The sight gags, misunderstandings, and thwarted victories keep the laughs coming for all members of the audience. Many of the lines come directly from A.A. Milne’s books, which is in a positive manner fantastic for fans of the original stories. The 8-year-old I watched the movie with was very excessively affected emotionally to listen lines he recognized from the book, such as when Owl talks when it comes to “customary procedure” and Pooh asks, “What does Crustimony Proseedcake mean?” The classics are classics for a reason, and this movie draws it is sweetness and hilarity from the best of sources.

The main flaw in Winnie the Pooh?’ At just over an hour, the movie’s too short. Even the 8, 6, and 4-year-olds I took to the movie were wanting more and felt sorry that the show was over. This could effortlessly be a new classic, with it is comforting pastels and world tones, lovely music from Zooey Deschanel, innumerable laugh-out-loud moments, and it’s message in regards to putting your friends first. This super-cute show is safe for the smallest toddlers and gratifying for the most sophisticated adults. I want to see it again.

It was so cute! We read the initial stories at home and it was neat for him to see them come to life on the screen. (Albeit with a few tweaks and changes.) He enjoyed the play on words and seeing the words on the screen. He has since been attempting to sound out words more and asking how to spell things. The movie theater had humans of all ages in it and we heard more laughter for the duration of the movie than we did at the theater for the duration of Cars II. It was freshening to see a kids movie without explosions or violence. I commended this movie to a lot of friends and for once I didn’t have to say “it was a great movie except…”. There was not one thing in the movie that afraid our little one at all. We will be purchasing this DVD as soon as it is available.

I had high hopes for this movie – and they were exceeded.

I love the animation. I love the styling and the fact that it looks like they are in a book.

I love the story. I love the plot and I love the reputation development and I love how close to the original books they are.

I love the length. One hour is just long sufficient to be a sit down movie but not so long my children exclusively lose interest.

Overall I loved this movie. It was nostalgic, classic, clever, and funny in all the right ways. I don’t buy a lot of videos, but this one is unquestionably going on my shelf!
